Have you tried blucon nightrider with libre? I heard it really helps with keeping gluocse in control as it alerts if reading is outside the range

So far I know medical aid do not cover this. My husband did a trial a few years ago and has been wanting to purchase one ever since. We tried getting it through the medical aid, but was unsuccessful.

FreeStyle Libre is very helpful in monitoring glucose levels, I am using over a few months now. I got nightrider ( a bluetooth transmitter) from a san francisco based company ambrosia systems. Nightrider converts freestyle libre into a real-time CGM from flash glucose monitor just like Dexcom or medtronic CGM but nightrider is very affordable and easy to setup. I gets alarms and also able to share readings with my parents

The Nightrider BluCon has allowed me to run better by alerting me of my glucose level highs and lows. The device transmits readings directly to the LinkBluCon app that always keeps me aware of my health status.
